The sculpture park was initiated by Marika Wachtmeister in 1987 and is now run by The Wanås Foundation – Wanås Konst. The permanent collection features more than 70 site-specific works by artists from around the world, displayed throughout the park, as well as in 18th-century barns and farm buildings surrounding Wanås Castle. The program also includes temporary exhibitions, performances, artist talks, workshops, and guided tours in both the park and the Art Gallery.
